Smart Search Chips collects minimal data. Here is exactly what is collected and when:

Free Version (with opt-in)

If you opt in during plugin activation, Freemius (our licensing partner) collects basic diagnostic data: WordPress version, PHP version, plugin version, site URL, and admin email. This helps us understand compatibility and prioritize development. You can opt out at any time from the plugin settings.

Pro Version

Pro users are connected to Freemius for license validation. Freemius collects account information (name, email) and site data necessary for license management. The Pro analytics feature tracks search queries and chip clicks on your site — this data is stored in your own WordPress database and is never sent to us or any third party.

This Website

This demo site does not use cookies or tracking scripts beyond what WordPress itself requires.

2. How We Use Data

Diagnostic data (when opted in) is used solely to improve plugin compatibility and development priorities. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties, except as required by Freemius for payment processing and license management.

3. Third-Party Services

The Plugin uses Freemius for licensing, payments, and optional diagnostics. Freemius processes data under their own privacy policy. No other third-party services receive data from the Plugin.

4. Data Retention

Diagnostic data is retained by Freemius for as long as the plugin is active. You can request deletion of your data by contacting us or through the Freemius opt-out mechanism in the plugin. Pro analytics data is stored locally in your WordPress database and is deleted when you uninstall the plugin.

5. Your Rights

You may opt out of diagnostics at any time, request access to your data, or request deletion by emailing appdeveloper.honza@gmail.com.
