1. Overview

Smart Search Chips (“the Plugin”) is a WordPress plugin developed and maintained by Jan Bartos (“the Author”). By installing, activating, or using the Plugin, you agree to these Terms of Service.

2. License

The free version of the Plugin is licensed under the GPL v2 or later. You may use, modify, and redistribute it in accordance with that license.

The Pro version is a premium extension. A valid license key, purchased through Freemius, is required to activate Pro features. Each license is valid for one site unless a multi-site license is purchased.

3. Payments and Billing

Pro licenses are sold through Freemius, which handles all payment processing. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle (monthly or annual) unless cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your Freemius account.

4. Refunds

We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee on all Pro purchases. If you are not satisfied, contact us within 14 days of purchase for a full refund. See our Refund Policy for details.

5. Support

Free users can report bugs via the WordPress.org support forum. Pro users receive priority email support. See our Support Policy for scope and response times.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Plugin is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, express or implied. The Author does not warrant that the Plugin will be error-free, uninterrupted, or compatible with every WordPress configuration, theme, or third-party plugin.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Author shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the Plugin. Total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the Plugin in the 12 months preceding the claim.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Plugin after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
